Heart & Metabolic Health

Blood pressure, cholesterol, insulin resistance, heart-rate zones, daily movement and warning signs, explained without fear or false reassurance.
About this classroom
Heart and metabolic health are where everyday habits, genetics and clinical prevention meet. This classroom teaches what common measurements mean, how risk factors interact and which symptoms belong outside a wellness website and inside urgent medical care.
Where the evidence stands: Cardiovascular prevention has strong human evidence, but an individual decision depends on absolute risk, medical history and properly measured results.
What you will learn
- Read your numbers - Blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose in their proper context.
- Build cardiovascular fitness - Intensity, movement and sedentary time without one magic target.
- Recognise warning signs - Know when education must give way to urgent care.
- Judge risk honestly - Risk factors combine; one good marker does not cancel the others.
Curriculum
Know your numbers
Common measurements in context.
Fitness & movement
Use movement to support health.
Warning signs
Symptoms that should never be biohacked.
Frequently asked
- Is one high blood-pressure reading hypertension?
- No. Diagnosis normally uses repeated properly taken readings, unless a severe reading or symptoms require urgent action.
- Is HDL always protective?
- HDL is associated with risk, but deliberately raising it has not proved that it removes cardiovascular risk.
- Can a fit person have heart disease?
- Yes. Fitness is protective but does not eliminate genetic, metabolic or other risks.
