Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) means breathing oxygen at higher-than-normal pressure, usually inside a sealed chamber. Raising both pressure and oxygen changes how much oxygen dissolves into the blood and reaches tissue. HBOT is an established medical treatment for a defined set of conditions - and the subject of a lot of newer, less settled longevity research. This classroom keeps those two categories apart.
